Magpul Industries Corp floorplate (baseplate) for standard M16 and SA80 magazines. This comes in two parts: a plastic spring plate which fits into the bottom of the magazine and the rubber low profile part which provides the grab surface. The floorplate provides a low profile solution to the problem of retrieving magazines from pouches and other carrying systems as opposed to the Magpul magazine loop. The design of the floorplate also avoids the problem of grab surface deformation which can be a problem with Magpul loops or other improvised loop solutions.
