Genuine issue British Forces DPM sleeping bag cover made from Goretex material. The oversized cover is large enough to insert the sleeping bag and also some additional clothing or gear. The back of the cover is flat, which allows it to be used as a floor. It is fitted with a drawstring, so it can also be drawn closed. The opening of the cover is flared which allows the top of the cover to be held open like a small awning. The cover is also used as a one-man bivvy bag or small tent. It is particularly useful with the awning for use in a sniper or hunter's hide, providing damp and wind cover for a prone user. The seams are internally taped. The bag can be rolled up into a relatively small area and is lightweight for the area it covers.
