Current issue modular sleeping bag issued by the British Army in OG-107 olive green. This bag is the medium weight bag for cooler weather which can be used on its own, or inserted into the light weight bag for additional insulation. The bag has the advantage of being lighter and less bulky than the earlier issue arctic sleeping bag or Pattern 58 bag, and features a two layer construction with a quilted insulating layer encapsulated by a ripstop, windproof and water resistant nylon lightweight cover. The bag is designed for heat retention with a small face window within a mummy bag design. The sleeping bag opens centrally with a large, insulated zip with double pulls to allow for opening from inside and outside the bag. Inside the bag, two large, mesh pockets are located in the chest area that allow for stowing of personal items such as ear plugs, documents, wallet, eyewear, personal items and small items of clothing. Loops located in head, foot and sides are for tying on a poly-cotton liner which is available separately. May have light signs of use. Military issue compression sack included. Sleeping bag size when laid flat is 214cm long, 79cm wide at the shoulders and 43cm wide in the foot area.
The central zip opens deep into the foot area so that it is easier to climb into the bag. A small spare zip pocket is located near the label.
