The Spanish Mauser 7x57mm round was developed by Mauser in 1892 and entered service with the Spanish military Mauser rifle in 1893. The original 7x57mm cartridge was adapted with a rim so that it could be used in rifles which featured a break action or combination 'Drililng' rifles that were fitted under a side by side shotgun. The rimmed cartridge was easier to extract in these actions. The 7x57R round remains an excellent sporting calibre with a relatively flat trajectory and manageable recoil for medium sized game. This round is fitted with a HPBT hollow poing spire or spitzer point. Price is for ONE round only. Inert rounds may not ship with Royal Mail or air mail, but must be sent via courier. Extras available for this dummy round: An new and unindented brass cup to fit into the primer pocket to give the appearance of a new, unfired round: Large Dummy Primer Removal of the deactivated, inert primer from the round, leaving a hole or holes in the base that can be inspected to prove the round is inert and free from explosives: Depriming of Round
