The 6mm Bench Rest round, initially developed by Norma, is also known as 6mm Norma BR, 6mmBR or 6BR. The inert round is fitted with a V Max red ballistic tip and has a short, shouldered case. The round is called Bench Rest, after bench rest target shooting in which accuracy at long range is the defining factor, and can set world records at 600 or even 1000 yards. This is no small feat for such a small calibre and charge. 6BR is dominant in 300 yard target shooting. For varmint hunters, the 6mmBR offers the advantage that it is effective at longer ranges than standard .223 rounds, burns through less powder and has half the recoil than standard .308 rounds. The round is fitted with a match 105gr copper FMJ bullet with HP tip. Price is for ONE round only. Dulled rounds can be polished with metal polish or toothpaste.
