The 6.5x47 Lapua round is a purpose designed target calibre to produce unparalleled results at distances between 300 and 1000 metres, with records being set in competition at 600 metres. The 6.5x47 Lapua round was developed in 2005 by the ammunition company, Nammo Lapua, and the Swiss rifle manufacturer, Gruenig u Elmiger. The lighter powder charge is designed to reduce wear on the rifle barrel and reduce recoil, which also reduces the fatigue experienced by the shooter over a course of competition. The 6.5 bullet head is favoured by target shooters for being less susceptible to wind over its flight, and some of the most exciting developments in modern rifle cartridges are focussed on different ways to utilise this calibre. Price is for ONE round only. Inert bullets may not travel with airmail or Royal Mail, and must be sent by courier. Extras available for this dummy round: An new and unindented brass cup to fit into the primer pocket to give the appearance of a new, unfired round: Large Dummy Primer Removal of the deactivated, inert primer from the round, leaving a hole or holes in the base that can be inspected to prove the round is inert and free from explosives: Depriming of Round
The size of the round compared to a coin.
